Mandurah Arts and Crafts is a haven for lovers of Patchwork and Quilting and those who would like to learn. Check out one of the MACS' groups below that have a focus on patchwork and quilting.
Bushland Quilters meets every Wednesday, from 9am until 2pm. One of the larger groups to meet at MACS, the Bushland Quilters currently has 32 members, but Group Leader, Florence Loughton, says new members are always welcome.
The Bushland Quilters has a fun and friendly atmosphere with members engaging in a wide range of crafts, including knitting, crochet and embroidery. As per the name, patchwork and quilting is something of a priority, with members creating quilts of all sizes, styles and descriptions.
If you are interested in joining Bushland Quilters, contact MACS for more information . . . or you can just come along on a Wednesday. You are sure to receive a warm welcome and be wonderfully inspired by the creativity on display.
Thursday Witches unique and delightful name was inspired by the cackles of laughter that sometimes erupt amongst their members.
A friendly, creative group lead by Dianne Hewett, they meet each Thursday from 9am to 3pm (though some ladies have been known to linger even longer!) The Thursday Witches mostly focus on patchwork and applique sewing projects, but have been known to embroider, crochet, knit . . . you name it!
New members are very welcome.
Friday Patchwork meets every Friday from 9am until 2pm. Lead by Carol Haddleton, they are a friendly, talented group with lots of creativity on display.
While the group has an emphasis on Patchwork and Quilting, needleworkers of all description are very welcome.
